SAVING WILD LIVES

Rescuing Ocala Wildlife - Wildlife Rescue in Ocala and Central Florida

Our Mission

Rescuing Ocala Wildlife (ROW) is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  At ROW, we are driven by a deep passion for wildlife and possess the knowledge and tools necessary to handle each animal with utmost care and compassion. Our goal is to provide a stress-free experience during the rescue and transportation process, ensuring that wildlife is taken to licensed rehabbers or veterinarians who can provide them with the necessary care they deserve.

Every day at ROW is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our wild friends, one animal at a time. Our mission revolves around providing safe transportation for animals in need, ensuring they receive the necessary help and care. While our primary service area covers Marion, Sumter, Citrus, and Lake counties, we extend our reach by collaborating with rehab partners across 9 counties in Central Florida. By doing so, we ensure that the rescued animals receive the best possible care and support.

Our Focus

We save wild lives through collaboration, compassion, and dedication to the cause.

Rescue

We exist to provide a lifeline for wildlife in need, serving as a beacon of hope for injured and vulnerable creatures.

Education

We firmly believe that educating children today not only leads to a brighter future but also promotes conservation, enabling them to learn, teach, and actively participate in preserving our environment.

Community

Saving wildlife depends on the collaborative endeavors of an entire community. Help us work together to achieve this.

IN OUR FIRST YEAR....

WILD LIVES SAVED

In the span of a single year, our devoted team of wildlife rescue volunteers came together with determination, giving a second chance to a remarkable total of 606 animals in need.

DIFFERENT SPECIES

In the past year, our team worked tirelessly to rescue a variety of animals. We saw our share of everything from newborn baby squirrels to Sandhill Cranes, snakes to songbirds, otters, and armadillos. We even had the opportunity to save several endangered species, and look forward to what we may encounter in the next year.

COUNTIES ACROSS CENTRAL FLORIDA

Although we primarily serve the 4 counties surrounding the Ocala area (Marion, Citrus, Sumter, and Lake Counties), over the last year our volunteers traveled hours away to save a single animal, and to transport wildlife to our rehab partners and veterinarians.

EDUCATIONAL EVENTS ATTENDED

One of the core elements of our mission is to provide education to the community about the wonders of wildlife and untouched environments. In the past 12 months, we engaged in 39 educational events, including activities such as setting up informational booths at local events and delivering presentations to homeschooling groups, summer camps, as well as clubs and private organizations.
